    The search continues for a man who's fallen into the Manawatu River while walking his dog

    The search continues for a man who's fallen into the Manawatu River while walking his dog


    Emergency services were called to Ahimate Park at around 1.30 this afternoon after the man failed to resurface.

    Police Search and Rescue staff, a Swift Water Rescue boat, kayaks, drones, a helicopter, and numerous other volunteers are all looking for him.

    The search will run until dark this evening, and the Police National Dive Squad has been notified.
