A reminder of the dangers of driving while tired, as a harrowing coroner's report reveals the final moments of three Singaporean students

A reminder of the dangers of driving while tired, as a harrowing coroner's report reveals the final moments of three Singaporean students

Sherwin Shi Yun Chong , Jia Jun Vincent Lim , and Xinyue Yang were killed in April last year, after their campervan crashed and rolled near Canterbury's Geraldine.

The 21 and 24-year-old's were trapped while on the phone to emergency services - when the vehicle caught fire just after 1am.

Coroner Alexandra Cunninghame says the trio died of smoke inhalation, and it would've been impossible to get them out before the fire.

She says the tragedy illustrates the importance of not driving when tired.
