A petition's been launched, to stop Calendar Girls opening a strip club in Queenstown

A petition's been launched, to stop Calendar Girls opening a strip club in Queenstown

The venue is recruiting, and running giveaways to get people from its Christchurch base to Queenstown, for a grand opening in November.

A local dancer, who's previously worked for the chain in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, has started a petition.

It says Calendar Girls is notorious for exploitation of workers and having a negative impact on their surrounding community.

The petition calls for action from both the District Licensing Committee and proposed-venue landlord.
