Meat processor Alliance Group is reporting a significant loss, as it moves to close its Timaru meatworks

It's reporting a net loss after tax of 95.8 million dollars for the year to September.

That compares to a 70.1 million dollar loss last year.

Excluding one-off costs -- like restructuring and redundancy -- the underlying loss is 47.6 million dollars.
