Hopes the dairy season isn't over for farmers affected by the weather

Hopes the dairy season isn't over for farmers affected by the weather

DairyNZ is offering regional support for farmers, who have experienced extensive damage to farms and homes from wind and floods.

Their focus is ensuring animals are fed, watered and comfortable, while putting together a plan with the Government.

Farm performance general manager Sarah Speight, says the good news is that cows can go a few days out of production.

She says for some farmers, the end of the season will be difficult if they are very badly affected.
