Southern dairy farmers are having the chance to make sure they're meeting regulations

Southern dairy farmers are having the chance to make sure they're meeting regulations

Two sessions, run by the Otago Regional Council, will take place this week to help farmers work through the new rules relating to effluent storage and discharge.

Acting General Manager Regulatory Joanna Gilroy says the workshops are about engaging with the rural community.

She says farmers are doing a good job in keeping up with requirements, and this is just another way to provide support around those.

The workshops will be run in South and North Otago today and Thursday.
