    Maddi-Lee Wesche has defended her senior women's shot put title at the Track and Field Nationals in Dunedin


    The Paris Olympic silver medallist won it with a best throw of 18.49 metres, in her first event of the athletics season.

    The throw also qualifies Wesche for the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, later this month.
