An increasing number of children are looking to alternative education following Covid

An increasing number of children are looking to alternative education following Covid

Enrolments at Te Kura, the former Correspondence School, have risen 32 percent from 2018.

Chief executive of online high school, Crimson Global Academy, Penelope Barton says more students with social anxiety, or those over-achieving for their year level are turning to online learning.

She says there are other students who want to be a professional athlete - and want to train during the day, so school from nine-to-three is an outdated model for them.
