Foodstuffs say its annual food price increase sits below average inflation

Foodstuffs say its annual food price increase sits below average inflation

Stats NZ's recorded 1.2 percent food price inflation for October- while Foodstuffs has recorded a one-percent price rise.

Foodstuffs says produce growers have helped keep rates down - with the spring weather delivering high volumes of veges, berries and stone fruit.

However, general grocery foods and non-alcoholic beverages saw price spikes due to global shortages.
