Almost 230-thousand migrants have arrived on Kiwi shores

Almost 230-thousand migrants have arrived on Kiwi shores

Latest figures from Stats NZ shows the country's had an annual net migration gain of 98-thousand-500 people in the year to April.

The arrivals were partly offset by a record 130-thousand departures.

Herald Business editor-at-large Liam Dann says we're still gaining population at a very historically high level.

He says the largest group of people coming in are from India, as well as many Filipino and Chinese people.
