First-five Sam Prendergast has been named to make his Six Nations debut for Ireland's opening match against England in Dublin on Sunday

The 21-year-old earned three caps during last year's autumn internationals.

New Zealand-born Jamison Gibson-Park, Bundee Aki and James Lowe are starting in the backline.

Scotland's sprung a surprise at hooker with Dave Cherry returning for their match against Italy in Edinburgh.

He's been on the outer since banging his noggin after falling down some stairs in Nice during a training camp prior to the 2023 World Cup.

Former Crusaders first-five Fergus Burke has missed selection.
