Wellington are toasting a ninth women's Super Smash T20 title, after beating Otago by eight runs in the decider in the capital

The Blaze were restricted to 104 for eight batting first but found their rhythm with the ball, sending Otago batters back to the pavilion on a regular basis.

Otago could manage just 96 for nine in a disappointing run chase.

Wellington skipper Melie Kerr says they have taken everything in their stride this season.
