    Moana Pasifika coach Tana Umaga is applauding World Rugby's decision to protect a team's right to employ a 7-1 bench split


    The "bomb squad" tactic, popularised by Rassie Erasmus' Springboks, has been criticised for being contrary to the spirit of the game and potentially putting opposition players at greater risk of injury.

    World Rugby says there's no scientific evidence to support such a claim.

    Umaga agrees.
