Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has had a wretched day in the Indian Premier League

Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has had a wretched day in the Indian Premier League

The Kiwi quick picked up a hip injury after just two balls as his Punjab Kings failed to defend 245 for six in an eight wicket away loss to the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Ferguson had only just recovered from a hamstring injury he suffered in the UAE, which forced him to miss the Champions Trophy in February.

With the Kings having already made an impact player substitute, they were left an overseas bowler short in their failed defense of 245.
