Daniel Hillier sits in a share of 32nd at even par and Ryan Fox is in a tie for 114th after carding a four-over 75 in the first round of The Open golf major at Royal Portrush

Jacob Skov Olesen , Li Haotong , Christiaan Bezuidenhout , Matt Fitzpatrick and Harris English top the leaderboard after carding four-under par 67s.

That marks the first time five or more players have tied for the 18-hole lead since 1938.

New Zealand Open winner Ryan Peake has shot a six-over par 77, but received a signed glove and the ball of playing partner and six-time major champion Phil Mickelson as consolation.
