Melbourne hooker Harry Grant's taken exception with claims he "played for a penalty" during a 22-18 golden point extra time win over Penrith in a repeat of last year's NRL final

Referee Ashley Klein waved off what would've been a go-ahead field goal by Nathan Cleary after ruling Moses Leota obstructed Grant's attempt at a charge down.

Grant - who went on to score the winning try - says the ruling was consistent.

The Warriors could overtake the Panthers in fourth, if they beat the Dragons tonight.
