The Wellington Phoenix women are parting ways with their newest import

The Wellington Phoenix women are parting ways with their newest import

Defender Imane Chebel and the club have terminated her contract by mutual agreement.

The Algerian international only joined a fortnight ago, and hasn't taken the field - she's off home to Canada.

The club won't discuss details of Chebel's departure out of respect for privacy.

The Phoenix are aiming to replace her before the visa registration window closes next Monday.
