    Shai Alexander has been crowned the NBA's best for the first time


    The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has been named the league's MVP, after leading the best team in the regular season with the most points.

    Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 32.7 points, 6.4 assists and five rebounds per game this season, leading OKC to a 68-14 record.

    Meanwhile, the New York Knicks lead game one of the NBA's eastern conference finals against the Indiana Pacers 85-81 in the third quarter.
