Lydia Ko faces a battle to make the cut after a challenging opening round at the latest women's golf major in Texas

The world number three has carded a three over par 75 at the PGA Championship to sit well down the leaderboard in a tie for 93rd.

Ko's lone birdie came on the first hole.

Jeeno Thitikul holds the clubhouse lead at four under.

Ryan Fox has made a better start at the latest stop on the PGA Tour in Connecticut.

He's carded a one under par 69 at the Travelers Championship.

It could've been better for Fox, who made double bogey on the par three 16th hole after finding the water hazard off the tee.

Fox is seven shots off the pace set by Austin Eckroat.
