The best regular season team in basketball's NBA has secured the championship crown

The best regular season team in basketball's NBA has secured the championship crown

The Oklahoma City Thunder have claimed a 103 to 91 home win over the Indiana Pacers in game seven of the Finals series.

The game was underscored by what's suspected to be an achilles injury to Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton, who left the court in the first quarter and didn't return.

Thunder counterpart and this season's Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander says their achievement doesn't feel real just yet.

It's a second title for the franchise as a whole - who won the championship as the Seattle Supersonics in 1979, before moving to Oklahoma City in 2008.
