The Central Stags have posted a massive 211-run win over the Wellington Firebirds, to book their place against Canterbury in Sunday's one-day men's cricket final

The Central Stags have posted a massive 211-run win over the Wellington Firebirds, to book their place against Canterbury in Sunday's one-day men's cricket final

Set 350, the Firebirds crumbled to be all out for 138, in the 33rd over of the Ford Trophy elimination final at the Basin Reserve.

For the Stags, first drop Will Young scored 105 and number four Dean Foxcroft 89 in a third-wicket stand of 165.

Young says that helped the middle order free their arms.

They go on to play Canterbury in Sunday's final, also in Wellington.
