Christopher Luxon is defending the pace of changes to the school curriculum

Christopher Luxon is defending the pace of changes to the school curriculum

A survey by the Principals' Federation and the NZEI union has found most principals and teachers feel the changes are being rolled out too fast.

They're asking for an extra time to roll out the changes, due to fears already stressed teachers could be burnt out.

The Prime Minister says the Government has identified a problem with maths skills, and has acted swiftly to address it.

He says they identified the issue, came up with a solution within a week, and are rolling it out as quickly as possible.
