Chris Hipkins says he's without a doubt leading the Labour Party through next year's election
29 December 2025
Reflecting on Labour's loss in 2023, Hipkins says he took over from Jacinda Ardern at the last minute, after the party's popularity had already plummeted.
He shares that he questioned whether to stay on as leader after 2023's defeat, and ultimately decided he would.
He says the loss has made him a much better leader -- and he intends to have another shot at leading Labour to a win in 2026.
