National campaigned on spending 280-million-dollars for 13 treatments in last year's election, but was unable to include it in the Budget.
Finance Minister Nicola Willis told TVNZ's Q and A they're expected to make a policy announcement on that very soon.
Luxon says it was more critical to ensure they had core funding for Pharmac.
He says it would've been a major problem for many Kiwis not to have their medicines funded, but the fiscal cliff from the previous Government had to be fixed first.
