An investigation's concluded a rat foot reportedly found in garlic bread - must have been introduced in the home

An investigation's concluded a rat foot reportedly found in garlic bread - must have been introduced in the home

A woman told our newsroom she'd bought the bread at Te Awamutu's Pak'nSave last month - and it still had fur on it when she plucked it from her 10-month-old son's mouth.

New Zealand Food Safety has completed a review - and has ruled out the manufacturer, distributor, distribution centre and retailer being the culprit.

It says that leaves the home as the likely source - but says the complainant raised the issue in good faith.
