Police have identified the car involved in a fatal hit and run on a busy Wellington street more than a month ago

A person died in hospital after being hit on Ghuznee Street just before 11pm on June 17.

It's understood the person was on the road at the time of the crash.

Police are looking to speak with the driver of a white Toyota Aqua, saying the driver may not have known they'd hit someone.
