Calls for better support for bus drivers - in the aftermath of abuse and attacks in Auckland

Members of the community, Auckland Transport and drivers are among those who've gathered in the city last night - to discuss how to address violence and abuse on bus services.

FIRST Union organiser Ken Tenamu says many drivers are having insurance claims denied after they're attacked, and left unable to work.

He says we need more emphasis on getting them the best support possible.
