Classical music is expected to continue to ring through the Christchurch Bus Interchange

Classical music is expected to continue to ring through the Christchurch Bus Interchange

The trial which began in February has now been extended until the end of the year.

The Christchurch City Council has been playing a raft of symphonies, and operas to discourage people from lingering outside the central city building.

Facilities Operations Manager Brendon Cowles says although it's too early to identify a trend, feedback indicates it's reducing anti-social behaviour.

He says the music is just one of several initiatives.
