    The Justice Minister's encouraging advisors to seriously consider the success of the latest facial recognition technology trial


    The Privacy Commissioner has deemed Foodstuffs North Island's trial compliant with the Privacy Act, and effective in reducing harm.

    But his report states there's more work to do.

    Minister Paul Goldsmith says it's great news for businesses considering the technology as an option for protecting their livelihoods.

    Goldsmith says he expects the Ministerial Advisory Group to consider whether the technology could be used more widely.
