Kiwis heading out and about this long weekend are being urged to keep safe

Police are asking road users not to jeopardise their own or other people's safety as they prepare to head away for the King's Birthday.
They say they'll be focusing on known factors that contribute to crashes.
Those include restraints, impairment, distractions and speed.
The weekend coincides with the start of winter - the NZTA advises travellers to drive slower in icy conditions, use their headlights and increase their following distance.
