A steep increase in Kiwis working from home

Data from the 2023 Census released today, shows about one in six people mostly work from home, increasing almost 60 percent from 2018.
The number of Auckland and Wellington remote workers have doubled since the last Census, with statisticians crediting the pandemic.
It's a topic of hot debate - with the Government moving in recent weeks to make public servants return to the office, scrapping blanket working-from-home provisions.
