KISS musician Ace Frehley recovering after suffering "minor fall" that forced him to cancel a scheduled performance

The guitarist, 74, best known as a founding member of his group before he went solo, had been due to perform on Friday (26.09.25) at the Antelope Valley Fair but it has now emerged he was advised by doctors not to travel. His tour manager, John Ostrosky, also known as John Ostronomy, shared the news in a Facebook post addressed to fans.

He said: "Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.

"As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California on Friday, September 26th. Please go to the fair to support his friends in Quiet Riot and Vixen, and Ace looks forward to continuing on his tour and finishing work on his next album, Origins Vol. 3."

John later clarified he had made an error in the original post.

He added: "Ace just called to inform me that I made a mistake on the announcement by calling his next album Origins Vol. 4 instead of Origins Vol. 3... LOL! The corrected version is below! Get well soon, Ace!"

Ace, who rose to fame in the 1970s with KISS, has also performed as a solo artist.

In August, he told Guitar World he had turned down an invitation to appear at the KISS Kruise: Land-locked in Vegas event at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in November.

Ace said: "They asked me and I declined.

"There's no way I'm gonna be involved with that, you know? Their biggest mistake is that they should have done that at Madison Square Garden, not in Las Vegas in a 5000-seater, or whatever it is."

Ace added he is "having too much fun doing my own thing" and said: "And maybe, I'll eventually get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist."

His next live date is scheduled for 10 October at the Lincoln Square Theater in Decatur, Illinois.
