Offset has learned parenting lessons from his mom

The 33-year-old rap star - who has Blossom, 13 months, Wave, four, and Kulture, seven, with Cardi B, as well as Kody Cephus, 10, Jordan Cephus, 15, and Kalea Marie Cephus, nine, from previous relationships - has admitted to drawing inspiration from his mom's approach to parenting

Offset said on The Jennifer Hudson Show: "My mom influenced me with raising my kids is just like discipline.

"First off, like when it comes to schooling -not like physical, no - but like when it comes to like schooling and helping my kids understand how important it is. Nothing is going to be given to you."

Despite this, Offset acknowledged that his kids have a very different childhood compared to his own.

He reflected: "My kids ... have a higher lifestyle. So, I help them understand, especially my boys, though, that it's still going to be a challenging time for you no matter where you go and to always represent us when you're going."

Offset is currently in the midst of a divorce from Cardi, and his estranged wife recently accused the rapper of being unreasonable in the negotiations.

Cardi, 32, filed for a divorce from Offset over a year ago, and she claims that financial disagreements are now slowing down the process.

Cardi said on a livestream: "The only reason why I'm still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes

"Y'all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else's taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties. I'mma fight for that. This is not no love s***. I'm not gonna stop living my life."

Cardi claims that Offset wants "millions of dollars" to finalise their divorce.

The rap star - who is one of the world's best-selling artists - said: "On a contract, I'm practically still married, because somebody [wants to] hold me hostage, if I don't give them millions of dollars to get out of it."
