    Colleen Hoover is cancer-free

The It Ends With Us author revealed that "all is well" with her health and completed radiation treatment almost two weeks after she first shared her battle with the unnamed form of the disease.

On Saturday (17.01.26), Colleen - who also ex ecutive produced the film adaptation of her 2016 novel - penned in a Facebook post: "I do not have cancer anymore. I was diagnosed sometime last year, had surgery that was successful, just finished radiation yesterday.

"I am done and good and all is well and has been well. My doctors doctored. Hell yeah. (sic)"

On January 12, the star shared that she was almost done with radiation treatment, via a grimacing selfie of her in hospital, dressed in a blue hospital gown and her hair in a messy bun.

Colleen wrote over the shot: "Second to last day of radiation. I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @Texas.Oncology, but they've been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them. (sic)"

On January 9, the star shared where her cancer likely came from.

Colleen detailed in a Facebook post: "I got results back today from the geneticist that say my cancer did not come from family genes. It also didn't come from the two main causes of the cancer, which are HPV and excessive hormones.

"This means it was more than likely environmental/lifestyle, which is lack of exercise, poor diet and stress. (sic)"

While she feels lucky to be alive and understands healthy habits are good for her, Colleen dislikes the lifestyle change that comes with it.

The bestselling author added in her post: "I'm happy and grateful to be alive but I hate vegetables. I hate when I have to get off the couch. I hate sweating. I hate when science is right.

"If you see me at the gym, don't even tell me good job. If you see me at a restaurant eating grilled chicken and drinking water, I'm probably real mad about it. (sic)"

In October 2025, Colleen was forced to miss the premiere of the romance movie Regretting You and other events due to her health.

Colleen captioned an Instagram photo carousel - which included shots of her with 30-year-old actor Lukas Gage - with: "I hate to have to announce this, but I will not be moderating the signing for @lukasgage this month, nor will I be able to attend the premiere or any events for @regrettingyoumovie.

"I'm super bummed, but am having an unavoidable surgery and can't travel for a while. (sic)"

She added: "I'll live vicariously through you guys. So sad to miss this movie release and premiere, but so grateful to all the actors and the team who put this together. (sic)"
