Jake Paul "learned a lot" during his short-lived stint with Disney

The 28-year-old social media star appeared in 'Bizaardvark' between 2016 and 2017 as online celebrity Dirk Mann, and though he was ultimately let go from the programme, Jake had a lot of "fun" and the experience taught him some lessons that have helped him over the ways

He told People magazine: "Man, it was just a fun time to be honest.

"I think it was a good kickstart to my career, because I was the first-ever influencer on TV.

"I think that really set a lot of things into motion for me, and I learned a lot about acting and media and all that stuff."

The 'Paul American' star abruptly left the show halfway into filming its second season, and Jake later admitted he had been fired as a result of a news story about complaints from his then-neighbours about his behaviour and general disturbance from his home.

He told The Hollywood Reporter a month after he left: "They were like, 'Okay. We want to expedite this process of weaning you off the show.'

"And I was like, 'Yeah, that's fine. But it's going to look like you guys fired me.' And they were like, 'We can say that we mutually parted ways and blah, blah, blah.' And that's the reality of the story."

Meanwhile, Jake's brother, Logan Paul, has carved out a successful career in WWE and though the boxer is interested in joining him, he doesn't want to wrestle himself.

Asked about the possibility of also joining WWE, Jake told Newsweek: "I would be down to be Logan's manager, Paul Heyman-style in WWE, but I don't think my body is cut out for the athleticism and the madness that the WWE takes.

" I feel like I would break my back.

"I definitely want to do MMA. Nate Diaz, still to this day, has not accepted the $15 million deal that we have for him. For me in MMA, it's just about finding the right opponent."

The brothers have a new reality show, 'Paul American', and Jake described the programme as the "testosterone Kardashians".

He said: "It's the testosterone Kardashians. We're just getting warmed up with season one. Things are getting juicier and juicier. Episodes keep on getting better and better.

"It's really just our lives unpacked. There's a lot of drama and family rifts that all come out on the show."
