Geri Horner has denied she's changed her name

The Spice Girls star was known as Geri Halliwell before she married F1 team boss Christian Horner and became Geri Horner - but recent reports suggested she had returned to her maiden name and would now be known as Halliwell-Horner amid speculation about the state of her marriage

However, Geri is adamant she's only using "Halliwell-Horner" for her career as an author. She told the Sunday Times newspaper: "That's a load of c***.

"It's my writing name. I haven't legally changed anything - Horner is the name on my passport."

The singer launched a career as a children's author back in 2008 when she debuted her first Ugenia Lavender book which went on to become a series of six titles, while her latest offering 'Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen' was released in 2023.

In the interview with the Sunday Times, Geri revealed she writes for three hours a day and often gets up in the middle of the night to scribble down an idea.

She explained: "I write for three hours a day. Writing is a discipline. [Actress/comedian] Dawn French taught me that. I leave my phone out of the room.

"Sometimes I'll wake up at 2am with an idea. Christian's snoring and I'll get out of bed and write."

Geri also revealed 'Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen' looks set to become a movie after the rights to the book were snapped up by a Hollywood mogul.

She added: "The most famous producer in Hollywood has bought the rights to Rosie Frost."

The singer previously hinted the book is being turned into a film.

During an appearance on 'The Breakfast Show' on BBC Radio 2, she said: "I cannot confirm nor deny [a movie] I don't know if I would staring in it, when I write I definitely think of characters that I can see someone playing."

Geri went on to reveal she's already been working on the second book and she hopes to make it a trilogy.

She added: "I've got my computer here with me. I thought, you know, dead time in the car because I'm doing [book] number two. I was writing it in the car on the way here, I always knew she was going to be a trilogy".
