Ashley Tisdale is experiencing a "wild karma" with her daughter's new obsession

The 39-year-old actress went viral recently when she revealed that her niece had played Sharpay Evans in her local production of 'High School Musical' almost exactly 20 years after she herself originated the role in the Disney Channel film, and while her daughter Jupiter, four, "wasn't bothered" about it before, she has now become infatuated with the 2000s trilogy

Speaking in a video posted to Instagram, she said: "So, Jupiter saw my niece in 'High School Musical' the play last weekend. When she's seen 'High School Musical' in the past, she never really cared about it bit I think seeing my niece in the play play me has just changed her, so she had to watch all three movies.

"She will not stop listening to the music, it's playing in the house right now. When I'm on walks with her, she asks me to play it. "When I'm in the car, she asks me to play it. Specifically, 'High School Musical 2'.

"Her favourite song is 'Humuhumunukunukuapua'a' . I hate that song! I don't know what kind of karma this is but this is wild, I'm having to listen to it over and over and over."

The former 'Suite Life of Zack and Cody' star - who has been married to Christopher French since 2014 and also has seven-month-old Emerson with him - is often "so embarrassed" when she takes her eldest out in public now because she insists on reminding everyone around them who her mom is.

She said: "Also, she screams out...she screams out in public, 'I'm Sharpay's baby!' I really can't! I mean, I just feel so embarrassed when I'm walking into a store and she [sings] 'We're All In This Together'. It's really sweet, but after a whole week of listening to the music straight, it's like...I don't need to watch this again. We don't need to listen to this anymore.

"I always have to tell her not to sing it next to me because someone's gonna be like 'Oh my God, I saw Ashley strolling her child and she was listening to her own music from 'High School Musical...'"
