    Travis Kelce struggled to prepare for Saturday Night Live because he "can't really read that well"

    The 35-year-old NFL star hosted the iconic live sketch show in March 2023, and he admitted the weekly read through was the most challenging part of the whole process.


    Speaking on the Bussin' With The Boys podcast, he said: "The table reading, for a guy that can't really read that well, it was kind of a f***** situation.

    "I was just trying to get through the reading instead of actually acting it out and giving it a voice and giving it a character."

    The Kansas City Chiefs sportsman - who is in a relationship with Taylor Swift - admitted other elements of the SNL experience were much more enjoyable.

    But he added: "The table read was the hardest f****** part."

    However, Travis insisted he felt "so much more comfortable" on the longrunning show than he is with more dramatic projects, while still taking his role seriously.

    He explained: "There was still a sense of, 'I need to be a professional here'.

    "I want to take advantage of this, but I want to have fun doing it...

    "I don't want to look like a loser doing this. I want to make them respect my approach and how I'm taking it serious."

    Travis has also landed a role in upcoming Netflix film Happy Gilmore 2 having previously appeared in the Grotesquerie series, and he admitted while it's out of his comfort zone, he's got the same mentality he does in the NFL.

    He said: "I'm so prepared for an NFL game. In my career, I get an entire week to figure out a scheme, how I'm going to attack somebody, how I'm going to handle certain situations.

    "When you go into acting, I just didn't feel as prepared.

    "[But] every single director that I've met, I was like, 'Coach me up. I'm here to be coached. If I suck, tell me I suck, and tell me how it can be better.' I'm gonna take all criticism. I don't give a f***."
