Four young people are in custody accused of fleeing police in a stolen car, crashing into a car on Auckland's Southern motorway and injuring its driver

About 9.20am, Police noticed a stolen vehicle speeding in Manurewa - and the Eagle helicopter tracked it weaving dangerously through traffic, and clipping another vehicle.

It crashed into the back of a vehicle on the Southern Motorway near Mt Wellington, giving its driver moderate injuries.

The occupants fled, before being taken into custody.
