    A bevy of transport changes are coming for Aucklanders this week


    The number of fare zones has been reduced from 14 to nine and the annual fare adjustment has been made.

    For most it will mean an average increase of 15 to 25 cents per bus or train journey.

    Auckland Transport Growth and optimisation GM Richard Harrison says some will benefit.

    He says those travelling long distances should see a reduction in fares.

    The entire train network will be back in operation today, including the new Pukekohe line which will mean a single trip with no changeovers for those going between Pukekohe and the CBD.
