Kiwi Formula One driver Liam Lawson will start a lowly 17th on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix

Kiwi Formula One driver Liam Lawson will start a lowly 17th on the grid for the Bahrain Grand Prix

The McLaren of Oscar Piastri will be on pole, with George Russell's Mercedes beside him.

Lawson's replacement Yuki Tsunoda put the second Red Bull into the Top 10 for the first time this season...and told Sky Sport he was chuffed, given how tough the beast is to drive.

Drivers Championship leader Lando Norris could only qualify 6th on the grid, with four-time defending champ Max Verstappen 7th.
