Australian motor racing driver Brodie Kostecki is one step closer to back-to-back Bathurst 1000 wins after earning pole position for the third year in a row

Kostecki joins legends Allan Moffat and Peter Brock as the only drivers to score three poles in a row for the Great Race...and he's honoured to join such illustrious company.

Cam Waters will be beside Kostecki on the front row this afternoon after a qualifying lap that included courageously flying around the top of the circuit...a fearless effort Waters was proud of.

Ryan Wood is the best of the Kiwis in 4th place on the grid, while Matt Payne and Andre Heimgartner are next best in 18th and 19th.
