An urgent warning for Suzuki Fronx drivers - to get their cars checked immediately

The model's scored a one-star safety rating, after an Australasian lab found the rear seatbelt failed in crash tests, along with other safety issues.

The Transport Agency says people should avoid carrying rear-seat passengers until the issue is fixed.

Consumer NZ Campaigns Manager Jessica Walker is advising owners to take the advice seriously - and visit a Suzuki dealer as soon as possible.

She says nobody wants to see find themselves in an awful situation because they didn't follow the advice.
