The clean up continues in Auckland and Northland, following five days of thunderstorms and heavy rain

The clean up continues in Auckland and Northland, following five days of thunderstorms and heavy rain

A slip is continuing to cause major delays on State Highway One over the Brynderwyns.

And some homes are still without power in Auckland and the Far North.

Auckland Councillor Shane Henderson says MetService will need to review how long it took to tell Civil Defence about Friday's big thunderstorm.

He says it means other agencies are also slower to get information.

More rain is forecast today, with orange warnings still in effect for North Canterbury and North-west Tasman.
