Parts of the North Island should brace for thunderstorms tonight

Parts of the North Island should brace for thunderstorms tonight

Auckland and Northland are in the firing line this evening with scattered thunder storms until about 9PM.

Surface floods, flash flooding, and slips are possible.

It's ahead of what's expected to be a wet weekend for the Hawke's Bay and Gisborne which are under an orange heavy rain warning from tomorrow morning.
