The Kiwi side conceded four tries in the opening 12 minutes to trail 22-nil at halftime.
They put on a better second 40, with tries to Ed Kosi, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Addin Fonua-Blake.
Nicoll-Klokstad's told Sky Sport it's deflating.
Halfback Shaun Johnson went off with a shoulder injury.
