A focus on adding homegrown talent is on the to-do list for Breakers owner Matt Walsh in the Australian NBL offseason

Centre Sam Mennenga and forward Max Darling are among the small cohort of Kiwis in the team.

Walsh admits the Breakers weren't prepared in finding a local star after Tom Abercrombie's retirement last year.

The Breakers have been eliminated from playoff contention with two regular season games remaining.
