Boxer Lani Daniels has shared the biggest sacrifice she's made ahead of her IBF heavyweight title defence against South African Razel Mohammed at Eventfinda Stadium tonight

The 35-year-old has been based at her New Lynn gym for the last six months - more than 230 kilometres away from her hometown of Pipiwai.

Daniels says it's been tough being away from family, but credits trainer John Conway for looking out for her.

Tonight's card, also featuring Mea Motu defending her IBO super bantamweight title against Malawi's Ellen Simwaka, begins from 6:30.
