New Zealand have won the second T20 cricket match of the three-game series against Sri Lanka by 45 runs to take an unassailable 2-nil lead

New Zealand have won the second T20 cricket match of the three-game series against Sri Lanka by 45 runs to take an unassailable 2-nil lead

The Black Caps posting 186 for five - Jacob Duffy took four for 15 to help dismiss their opponents for 141.

Meanwhile, Australia have taken a 2-1 lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after beating India by 184 runs in Melbourne.

Controversy has arisen after off-spinner Travis Head had Rishabh Pant caught at long-on, a key wicket in the visitors' demise.

He proceeded to poke his right forefinger through a hole formed by his left thumb and forefinger, a gesture some social media users considered obscene.

Captain Pat Cummins has offered a more mundane explanation.
