    Captain Robbie O'Donnell is relieved the Northern Braves men's cricket team didn't fall at the final hurdle


    The Braves have beaten the Canterbury Kings by five wickets in their Super Smash T20 final in Christchurch.

    O'Donnell says the top qualifier deserved the crown given their consistency.



    Canterbury's two-decade title-drought continues with a sixth consecutive loss at the final hurdle.

    The Wellington Blaze won a third title in a row in the women's Super Smash.
